She did write the foreword to the book and says he saved her life in it.

This part sent me a bit though:

“Why didn’t you bring me a real doctor?” I asked the nurse. Paul replied by saying, “I’m an Italian from New Jersey,” and that was when I decided I was willing to talk to him. My dad is an Italian from New Jersey, so I figured I at least knew what I was dealing with.

This is very Gaga so I believe it lmao

Her part is 2 pages, most of it the story we've heard before in interviews (I think the Zane Lowe Chromatica one? The one where she mentions asking for a real doctor and getting a psychiatrist instead).

Yes, Oprah's 2020 Vision Tour.

"I had a psychotic break... I was triggered, really badly, in a COURT DEPOSITION... I remember going into the hospital and screaming... And they brought in a psychiatrist. And I said, can you get me a real doctor?" 😒

The 2-1/2 hour deposition (DR. LUKE'S defamation case against KESHA) took place on September 12, 2017, in a lawyer's office in Philadelphia.

Gaga's lawyer prefaced that Gaga herself was "a sex abuse survivor... This deposition has proved to be a trigger event... So she is crying now the record will reflect." Gaga became very emotional while questioned by Dr. Luke's lawyers.

Mother of Puppies

I was reading this and then the 2 pages were up and all I wanna do is continue reading :messga: She can write really well! How amazing would it be if she wrote a book someday?

I hope so much that one day she'll write an autobiography. :bradley:

I was all set to make a joke about the Italian reference, but then I clicked on the link and read the two pages and I shelved the joke. There is a level of detail in those two pages which hits hard.

The first paragraph is straight out of the 911 video, and the reference to Paul as a 'safe' man is unsettling. If he's safe, then other men must be unsafe in her experience, and it is troubling that she has been given cause to think about men in those terms. I hope she is well now, and I hope she stays well. At least she knows herself and she is in the habit of asking for help when she needs it.

Of course, half of the comments are making fun of one paragraph instead of talking about the pain she poured into the foreword. And if someone even tries to joke about a different artist they start attacking you. Classic GGD :huntyga:

It's like they don't want to know about it but that's who Gaga is way more than the 2010 version they pretend she still is.

Yes this is exactly when it happened if you look at the timeline. After she was released from the hospital she was out at a few shows and outings late 2017, then from early 2018 the show was cancelled and she disappeared for months which alined with what she said to Oprah ‘I was on the couch for months if not a whole year in mental, physical and emotional pain’. She was spotted in Oregon awhile after her disappearance & that makes sense as the ‘outpatient programme’ she stayed in for many months while depressed is actually owned by this psychiatrist Dr Paul Conti who treated her psychotic break, who revealed he runs a psychiatric facility there.

I’m just so happy that she found someone she feels safe and trusted to help with her mental issues, and I truly thank her forever for her talking about mental health constantly so I didn’t feel ashamed when I went to doctor for my depression and anxiety
