I’ve said it many times and I’ve been dragged, but I’ll say it again. Beyoncé is overrated af and her music isn’t anything groundbreaking, at least not to me.

Thank you! She's a good singer and dancer but that's it. Her music had no impact on the industry or the world whatsoever. And it's so annoying how the media and stans portray her as a goddess like gtfo.

I'm not a hardcore fan, but c'mon her self titled release made a lot of noise in the industry.

I won't be surprised if she's not nominated at the Oscars again. There are some legit reasons to dislike Beyoncé, and The Academy doesn't seem to like her. She and her husband are too pretentious.

For a couple who couldn't even beat 5SOS for a #1 album they sure are so arrogant :billie:

Kinda feel like Beyonce is absent from everything that's going on.

Like where is she?

I get it when she shows up, she has an impact but i always forget about her in between

I think that’s intentional on her part lol

That faux disclaimer "Bey's not gonna like this but..." - please. This is what I don't like about both of them: their arrogance. And if we're really talking Michael Jackson, he was huge worldwide and not mainly in the US. Michael's influence transcended gender, religion, race, ethnicity and identity. People of all walks of life around the world were crazy for him. The fact that Jay Z compared one flawlessly executed Coachella performance to Michael Jackson's career...yeah, no.

Yeah Jay-Z has logical fallacy on that

Exactly! They should do like I do: thinking that they are BOTH OVERRATED AND PRETENTIOUS CLOWNS and never take what they say seruously.

:lmao:right. The delusion got to your head Jay, yes Bey is a megastar, but not on the level Michael ever was. Michael was basically mobbed by hordes of fans/paparazzi whenever he was on the road. You can ask people in the remotest parts of the world like the amazon jungle, and they have heard of MJ. No disrespect, but I dont see that happen to Beyoncé's legacy.

bey is hella talented no one can deny that. shes one of the best performers out there. however her commercial success and overall influence do not rival MJ's. her chart success and actual record sales are not high compared to some other artists and it def doesnt come close to MJ's. what i dont like about beyonce is her and the people around her, even her fans, think that she is some type of god who created music, when in reality shes a good dancer and a great vocalist who executes the songs that are made for her, her artistic output is created for her, not by her. her vision was never really her own since most of her songs are written by other people. MJ is an artist that cant be replicated, beyonce, never reached the type of peak that michael did. even though i dont see beyonce on mj's level, shes leagues beyond someone like taylor swift (who yes she cowrites most of her songs) but has the most basic voice and melodies in pop music. I personally dont like beyonce but i can objectively say shes a great performer. i dont think we will see someone like mj for a really long time.

i mean mj has sold 750 million records WW, beyonce has sold 178 million records

These replies are killing me LOL. I know if anyone ever compared gaga to Michael Jackson, y’all’s reactions would be completely different.
