If u really look closely, I think its actually the simmilar colours on contrast to a dark background that give off a perception of similarity. The swirls themselves actually dont really have a simmilar shape or design and if u try to imagine them without the simmilar colours they actually only look slightly alike. They are both swirls but not the same design of swirls Like i do see how a connection is made but its not THAT simmilar It reminds me of those videos on YouTube where you see an artist with dementia draw throughout their years with the condition, and the art seems to become more abstract and less discernible over time.
