It would not only help people pay off their loans with no interest but would give people relief during this period of inflation caused by the pandemic. It would be politically advantageous to do this during an election year - yet Biden has chosen to do the opposite. Furthermore, Senate Democrats HAVE asked the Biden to do something: "A group of Senate Democrats have asked President Biden to waive interest for the remainder of the pandemic health emergency, but the administration has not announced a plan to do so at this time." Biden DOES want to pass that, but it requires congress. Congress has two people holding it up. You can either CRY AND BITCH or you can figure out how to help. Abandoning Biden and the democrats is pathetic, weak, stupid and will NEVER get you what you want. AOC and the squad pass NOTHING and get NOTHING done. They grandstand, they bitch, complain and point fingers - but they have no influence their immaturity lands them without friends. Learn how the system works and do something to change it. But he shouldn't have made the promise of forgiveness if he couldn't pull it off because now he just looks like a liar, even if his power is limited. There's going to be a lot of blacklash from this action... hoping there are protests and whatnot to raise concern... AND hoping progressive use this to fuel more action on Biden. I highly highly urge anyone here to STILL VOTE- just vote for who you like, write them in! STILL VOTE it is important to get your vote heard even if it's Marianne Williamson or the Himalayan Salt lamp she would of picked for VP.
