Shouldn't Lil Nas X be in quarantine?

he was yesterday on the red carpet in New York

and then recorded video for Capital's Jingle Bell Ball in the same look

im guessing he's not infected and that only members on his team are, which means they can't be working to set up a whole concert and he can't do everything by himself

Soft, soothing, and succulent

Wow, almost like we're still in the midst of a pandemic, and that pretending things are normal isn't working. Who would've thought? :trollga:

Um, I didn't say that.........there is actually a spectrum between "stay at home forever" and "have large-scale concerts with artists from different countries".....

But anyway, as long as people pretend we're "over" the pandemic, we're never going to get over it.

Everyone that wanted to be vaccinated is already vaccinated (except third world countries), there's nothing else we can do to stop the virus. The new variants are not as bad as the past ones and the symptoms are regular cold symptoms. Vaccinated people are not dying so I don't get why we should stop living our lives, the virus isn't going anywhere and we need to learn to live with it.

I never said people shouldn't live their lives. In my initial post, I remarked that we are still in a pandemic, so I'm not surprised that artists are cancelling because someone on their team has caught Covid. In fact, I have been living my life. I went to Vegas in October and November and met up with several friends, including members here, and saw Gaga's, Gwen's, and Brian Newman's concerts. I took precautions and made sure to test before and after my trips, wear masks for the most part, etc., but I still knew it involved some risk, which is why I took both rapid tests and PCR tests upon my return. I also plan on attending a Super Bowl concert in LA in February. I've been going to the cinema, dining out, and exercising in person, etc. I agree that people should be living their lives, but we also have to expect that some things will be different –– events might be cancelled or postponed (heck, my Super Bowl concert might be cancelled), proof of vaccination/negative tests/masks might be required, etc.

And alas, as long as there are people who refuse to get vaccinated and who don't wear masks in places where there are high caseloads, it's just going to take longer to get over this because new variants are going to keep popping up. So yes, we should live our lives, but we also need to be mindful that this is a new normal in which there are going to be disruptions. I wasn't trying to be prescriptive in this thread about what people should or shouldn't do, just pointing out that these things are likely to keep on happening because the pandemic isn't over.
