Do we know when the data on severity and vaccine resistance will be out? So far, I don't think we're heard of any death related to this variant I think no?

This is exhausting. My country has has had a full lockdown at night times since March last year and it looks like it won't be lifted anytime soon even though numbers have dropped.Let's hope its not as deadly but huge infection rate means more deaths even if its not as deadly.:saladga:

Vaccinated or dead is a severe overstatement. A big majority of healthy ppl would be fine without the vaccine. Yes a lot could  die and it would be more disastrous without it but acting like itd be the end of the world without it is just a stoking fear to push for more to ppl get it. So far this strain has shown to have milder symptoms then other strains there's no reason to freak out about it yet. If governments begin to freak out and push for more regulations on ppl its gonna end up causing more damage then good. The world needs to start carrying on and accepting this virus as a natural phenomenon.

I’m sorry but I disagree with everything you’ve just said. There’s no excuse for “healthy people” to not get vaccinated because older people and those who are autoimmune compromised and get it don’t have that luxury. Had healthy people just gotten it and not been either selfish or lazy then millions of lives could have already been saved at this point. This virus kills far more people than a normal virus like the flu and leaves many with debilitating effects for months so it’s not something to accept and just carry on. We must work together to eradicate this disease and stop being so selfish/lazy. We did it before with smallpox and if our world leaders wanted to they could do it again now.

They don't know yet, but my understanding from what I've read is that the more likely outcome is that it will prove to be less deadly rather than more deadly .... but they don't KNOW yet. Fingers crossed.

Remember when we all though this sh*t would be over in 6 months? Ugh. I'm vaccinated and am scheduled to get a booster, so I feel fairly safe, but still...scary

We're basically at the 2-year mark. Less than that if we count the "lockdown era" (kicked off in March 2020). But still super scary.
