As some of u know I used to be a MASSIVE Johnny Depp fan. I was even in a forum which was about him for about 7-8 years if I recall right. (Although my hardcore fan era was only from like 2004ish to 2008)

I still own a hell of a lot of his films on DVD.

For the most part all of the older ones like POTC, From Hell, Chocolat, Finding Neverland, Donnie Brasco, Secret Window, Cry Baby, Sleepy Hollow, Blow, the 9 Gates, Charlie and the Choclate Factory, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Benny and Joon, Gilbert Grape, Edward Scissorhands, Dead Man, Once upon a time in Mexico, Don JuanDemarco and so many more...

I was wondering what movies you liked that he was part of? I mean... he is a great actor after all.

My favorite movies of his are:

- Pirates of the Caribbean 1 (this one will always be the best - a great movie from start to beginning)

- Chocolat (oh dear boy, how obsessed I was - especially with the soundtrack) :bradley: This movie was the reason why I wanted to work in film.

- Edward Scissorhands ( I adore this movie - Tim Burton at his best - and childhood memories :yennefer:)

- Blow (I always loved this film)

- I also remember loving Secret Window, From Hell, Sleepy Hollow as well as Finding Neverland (It's just been sooo long, I should watch some of them again)

If you don't know the film "Chocolat" go and see it, It's such a cute (unconventional) little film and the soundtrack is one of the best ever! Just take a listen to this :bradley: And damn, he was so sexy in this movie. :lolly:

gosh..listening to this makes me so emotional. :bradley:

this one is sexy af

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He was brilliant and did the OG Willy Wonka justice, raising the bar even more. Timothée Chandelier has some really big shoes to fill...

Will there be a new movie with Timothée as the new Willy Wonka? Isn't he the dude from that movie "call me by your name"? I watched that after I got my 2nd Pfizer shot while I was sick in bed lol

He is, but he's playing a young Willy Wonka- like a prequel.

What did you think about Call Me By Your Name though?

Ahh... he could be a great choice I think.

I have to say I kinda liked the movie. (It's not like it's my favorite movie ever) but I really enjoyed watching it (even if I felt like **** while doing so) and I really loved the italian vibes. :vegas:

For me a movie doesn't need to be "perfect" in order to be entertaining. What I don't like is a movie that bores the hell outta me.

So this one managed to keep me interested just like HOG - it was not perfectly written - there were some things I would've done differently, but it was never boring to me, which is what matters the most. What about u?

A summer romance in the Italy countryside has always been a dream of mine. A hopeless romantic that's also a s*cker for the mediterranean vibes and aesthetics, watching a movie with a good soundtrack and all...  girl... the ending messed me up :fatcat: I cried a lot and I couldn't get over it for a whole week tbh...

Never watched it again... but I still like it :fatcat:

Omg I feel you! I'm a total sucker for mediterranean vibes too. :bradley: I mean... I have lived in Spain for 7 whole years and I miss it so much. :(

Italy, Spain, South of France... it's all quite similar in its culture and just pure mediterranean. (at least by the sea)

I felt like that with the ending of GOT - I have never watched the last episode again nor will I. It hurt me so badly. :fatcat:

Listen, Johnny Depp is one of my favorite actors of all time, I fell in love with him in Cry-Baby and he was single-handedly responsible for my sexual awakening as a kid :v:

I love a lot of his movies but the Tim Burton ones are my favorite. I just re-watched Edward Scissorhands the other night and I cried like a baby, he's just superb

Sweeney Todd is also really good, although I know musicals aren't everyone's cup of tea.
