i hope i'm not the only one who hopes we go back to lockdown. i know covid affected everyone differently, but the quarantine days of 2020 is probably the best thing that happened to me in ages. we all need to take a break and shut off from people sometimes. besides, some people can't keep their *ss in one place during a pandemic without some reinforcement.

It was always my understanding that creating the vaccine in the first place was the hard part and tweaking it for variants, while annoying, isn't nearly as difficult.

But maybe I'm wrong :bear:

no youre right

problem is, although they can adapt the mRNA vaccines to current variants veery quickly, they need to apply for approval w/ clinical studie etc etc all over again, as far as i know :bear:

Sometimes it feels like I've got a war in my mind, I wanna get off but I keep riding the ride

I mean, new variants will pop up whenever we open up so we have to decide wether to live with lockdowns for the next 12 years or eventually learn to live with the virus.

I feel like this is fear mongering with words like “mega”. Like of course it’s good to be informed, but still.

Just get vaccinated, get your boosters, stay physically active, drink some water, and take your vitamins.

Funny how every time a holiday approaches, a new strain just appears out of thin air :oprah: We all need to be more in tune with how our governments respond this time around, don't let them limit your freedoms again like they did before. They'll deserve whatever backlash comes their way :reductive:

You remind me that it's such a wonderful thing to love.

it's gonna be weaker, like the other variant which nobody talked bout and got forgotten, but the gov will use the excuse of this variant to force 3rd booster, when really it makes no sense. the boosters and the current vaccine don't work with a new variant, they need to either give people medication against covid or create a new vaccine or let it go down with time. but yeah honestly we cant keep living this way until 2024 or 2026 like c'mon. find a solution a real one, people cant live with masks and injections every 3 months

yeah I just noticed a pattern in France. People refuse vaccine, a new variant appears, now they talked bout third booster months before and people don't want to, and now a new variant, which can be used as an excuse to make it mandatory to have a booster or else no restaurant, no mall, no job, etc etc... also they said it's not seasonal, seems a bit seasonal to me, always in winter, and then hot summer, could they mix up flus with covid in the tests? who knows, maybe numbers are inflated? I bet they'll say this variant is dangerous for kids, because they've been trying to vaccinate kids, so it can be a very good excuse to force them
