Well at least Gaga did her job. I'll never forgive Ridley though for it not being better

I mean, I think the movie is great. The critics didn't understand it's not just because you're telling a story about murder that it must be all drama.

Well, this is all I hoped for. Overall (somewhat) mixed-to-positive reviews for the film itself, and critical acclaim for miss Gaga's performance. Now it needs to do well at box office, which seems to be the case and LG needs to stay in the public eye. She's got the Grammy noms now, a Colbert appearance, multiple TV specials and a documentary coming up + god knows what else. Literal dream for both of her campaigns.

Honestly speaking, I think this movie will propel Gaga's acting career forward.

Sure, the movie is not getting critical acclaim like ASIB but her acting is getting a lot of attention right now. Also, I feel like the GP will eat this movie up. We won monsters :applause:

It was always clear that she would carry this film, but I never expected for it to be so clear and for her to pretty much get all the credit from the critics. She is so talented and knows how to pick her projects. I haven't even watched HOG yet (my screening is in 3 hours) but I am already so excited for her next film because I know she will be so perfect -- she always is!

I hope Ridley gets on his knees and thanks Gaga. And I hope he asks for forgiveness for letting her down.

The movie is middling at best, the actors saved it otherwise it will be unsavorable

That last part of the sentence makes all the difference. So happy that her performance is getting recognised despite the film shortcomings.

The fact that Gaga is getting absolute praise form critics is the best part for me ngl. It’s just showing she really is a force to be reckoned with acting wise.

Very. She shares screens with a lot of these acting heavyweights and stood her ground. She belongs in every scenes.
