Texas trial attorney Thomas J. Henry has filed a massive $2 billion lawsuit on behalf of victims of the Astroworld Festival tragedy that left 10 people dead and hundreds more injured.
The complaint filed Thursday in state court in Houston amended an earlier lawsuit brought shortly after the Nov. 5 concert.
The revised complaint seeks up to $2 billion damages from a long list of defendants, including Apple Music, Travis Scott, Aubrey Drake Graham, Live Nation, and NRG Stadium, and was filed on behalf of 282 victims who have hired Thomas J. Henry to represent them.
Lawyer Thomas J. Henry said he was talking to an additional 120 concert attendees about joining his case.

Another suit filed Monday by Houston attorney Tony Buzbee on behalf of 125 concert attendees, including one of those who died, asked for more than $750 million in damages.  Lawyer Tony Buzbee said he intends to file another case soon with 100 more plaintiffs.

As an European, I always find it so strange that people can get sued over millions of dollars, it's not even possible here. Anyway, I hope that they make that the people that are responsible financially bleed.

were all those people directly affected? the almost 300? or are they seeking charges for emotional damages?

i feel like some of them at looking at this as an easy way to make money and were not affected directly or indirectly.

Hope they win, it will send a big time message to all the involved parties to value people’s safety or lose a large chunk of money.

and what would be wrong with that? fleeing for your life in a giant crowd and seeing dead and dying bodies is traumatizing

There were a LOT of injuries. Some people were crushed. The crowd shifting and moving/moshing can be extremely dangerous. On top of that, some of these people probably helped the dying/deceased before they passed. That’s gotta have some heavy trauma/PTSD.

Yes i count trauma and PTSD as being affect directly not even indirectly so it's totally understandable.

I didn't know Apple was involved.

Depending of the result of that legal action, I wonder what will be the future of some of these musicians with Apple Music ( and other similar services).

Apple Music live-streamed worldwide the event.
There are people who say that they didn't want to stop this show because it was live-streamed.

Huh? The EU issues multi million fines and penalties all the time. Criminal penalties across Europe can be huge
