What has Elon actually done to earn him all that money? There is no amazing great dead that one human being can do, or enough hours worked in one human life time, to earn that kind of money. Taxes in general are a system that was setup to help the lower class to afford essentials of life and also quality of life. Because ethically speaking every human being should be entitled to the opportunities and the essentials of life like health care, food, and education. In the US these things are not treated as human rights. People work HARD for 40+ hours a week and can barely get by with no quality of life or happiness. Why, in your eyes, have the working class not earned their right to these things? And what has Elon done to be in the top 1% richest people on the planet? What does the word EARN mean to you? We are unhappy and hateful towards this kind of behaviour because the separation between unimaginable wealth and being dirt poor is too massive. The working class pay huge tax percentages on their wages, while the ultra-rich don't. There is no logic that can determine this as fair. In a fair world, where every working human being is entitled to a quality of life, those with HUGE amounts of money would be paying taxes to help out all of society. Yeah, he actually is shaping the future for our planet, just by virtue of him being the richest man alive, but it's not a good future. It's a f*cking dystopia. We live in Capitalism, where the people with the most money make the decisions. "Democracy" in capitalism always succumbs to the interests of the mega rich, even in states with the mechanics of social democracy. If you're a rich asshole... you literally can make the rules for everyone as you go along and not give a f*ck about anything that confines any regular person.
