No we are not, but sometimes things like this happen:

Would you be believe BuzzFeed was inquiring into the forum and they did find about the "soccer moms" thread.

I mean, to each their own... But he isn't wrong. Cool for you if you enjoy these films, but I think super-hero movies stopped being exciting a long time ago.

I have to agree. The MCU movies are like fast food of cinema. They don't have any real substance, they're just the exact same shots, lighting, music. Nothing original or inspired. They're not reaching to create amazing cinema with substance that really makes you feel something. They just turn the music up really loud and add lots of sparkly CGI. They're predictable and recycled and rely on every Hollywood cliche ever used and quippy one-liners. But are they easy and mindless to consume? Yes. So just like fast food, they appeal to the masses. Quick, easy, mindless, not challenging at all.

They're easy to watch, but altogether sh.it in terms of cinema. And I personally believe that they're creating what I call MCU brain rot, where people aren't able to watch good cinema anymore that challenges their mind even in the slightest, because their brains are so used to being unengaged and switched off

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

I wonder if some of y'all would still agree if Gaga had ever accepted to star in any Marvel movie like she was rumored to... :billie:

I fall in the middle....

I feel like one can love superhero movies and at the same time recognize they often (not always) follow a very routine formula. In that sense, I can understand why some directors dislike superhero films because they might prefer failing rather than producing something predictable. But at the same time, predictable doesn't mean bad.

TLDR: I love a lot of Marvel films and DCEU films, but I sort of understand where directors come from...especially as studios are very hesitant to greenlight big budget films that aren't superhero films anymore.

Sorry, but no matter how right you think he is, no matter how much we know that that's just his opinion, marvel fans are pretty-ass toxic. Please @vixdean close this thread, let's pretend this never happened, Gaga is working hard on the promotion for this movie, we don't need bad publicity.

This spread long before GGD (film updates posted it), but Marvel fans luckily are sitting this one out for the most part. But yeah, and this is coming from someone who often enjoys Marvel...that fandom can be toxic as hell.
