“La Fama” by Rosalía / The Weeknd Review | Pitchfork

As global pop stars at the top of the game, these two understand fame’s fickle embrace better than most, and they render its double-edged sword with perverse beauty.

A Bachata BOP.

Y’all can stay mad.

Rosalia is here to try everything and not remain the same like your faves.

I don't think anyone's complaining that she's not rehashing EMQ.

It's just a bland standard pop song with a basic bachata influenced instrumental, with an extremely cliché and overused lyrical theme, featuring an artist that we're sick of hearing on every song. There is very little going on here to excite anyone.

Well it excites me and many others who love both of these artists.

I’ve also ben streaming EMQ all week.

The song is a real grower and the chorus is super catchy once you get into it.  Obviously not artistically on par with her older songs, just great, catchy Latin pop. :applause:

It’s definitely much better than I was expecting. I actually really love the song. The only thing I’m disappointed in is that we know that she can do so much more. El mal querer was so innovative and something I personally have never heard before. This song on the other hand is the kind of bachata that we’ve been hearing for years now.
i still love the song and I’ll watch out for the rest of the album
