Some of the people in the crowd should also take some of the blame for this tragedy,  they were acting like maniacs

what can you expect from a crowd formed by Travis Scott fans? they're as dumb and reckless as he is, and also straight

This makes me never want to go to a festival ever and continue buying seated tickets for concerts. Obviously better event organization could have prevented this, they should have had two other performers playing so they could have lessened the crowd.

I like standing in the crowd for smaller shows but a huge festival crowd has always terrified me. What if you needed help or even just needed to puke or use the bathroom or something and there's like a million people all around you :duck: It's ****ing nuts I don't understand the appeal.

If I ever end up at a festival I'm definitely staying near the back where there's open space and chilling with a drink and my friends. I don't need to be in that ocean of people.

I know it’s awful and I don’t defend Travis, but  he stopped the show and called security because he saw someone passed out

okay so i think he should have stopped the show at least when people in the audience started yelling for him to stop. but, in travis’s defence,

when you’re an artist on stage, you’re doing your job. you want to and need to be professional. whatever hiccup happens, your mindset is ‘don’t make a big deal out of it’. of course usually that applies to technical difficulties, not death, but i doubt he knew that people were dying. he probably just thought someone was injured, which isn’t unusual.

I saw a small news segment in my country about this incident yesterday. People were pushed against the barricades, and trampled on. That the show had lot of people, derived from being the singer's home city. Footage of the crow confusion and at a certain point, footage where you can see who is performing (idk if it was Travis)  calling for security to help, pointing that something is happening. Probably a lot more could be done, but according to the footag i saw, the performer called for help at some point. Probably end the concert, cause the crowd seemed out of control (from what I saw) would be a best decision but idk.

It's crazy how neither her or Travis have actually apologized. Their statements are shallow and transparent. They don't care about the dead, they care about deflecting the blame.

I can only imagine if this had happened at a Gaga show, she would be BROKEN. It might change the whole course of her career.

this. It shows their true nature. If you put yourself's interest over the l i t e r a l lives' of human beings that got scrambled to death at YOUR OWN concert who literally paid for it and can do no better than post a half-assed story about it on Instagram  then in good God I don't wanna know what else they've done to become these people

imagine how smelly the crowd would’ve been with the hot air

But in the cultural sense, I just speak in future tense

Agreed. I know people who wait at the front wear diapers so they don’t have to leave for the restroom 🥴 I enjoy showing up at showtime, having a seat and enjoying the show.

Went to Kesha and it was all GA and that was fine because there was so much room to dance and breathe and leave then come back quick.

Part of me feels that there could have been more security and better barriers at the concert, to have better control.

With that being said, we have to stop blaming celebrities or politicians for thr dumb **** that we do. I saw videos of up to 50000 young adults at this video, putting themselves in overcrowded mosh pits. I saw videos of what is now being said 2-4000 people breaking down barriers to get into this gig with lame, shitty music. At some point, we as a society have to take accountability for our own actions. You don’t have to act like an animal to go to, or get into a concert.

Seeing as how this is a kardashian related situation and it technically involves Kanye’s former protege and brother in law— Travis probably setup some guy to go around the crowd injecting people with something like fentanyl in order to promote mass hysteria among the crowd and get clout around his name since UTOPIA is about to drop soon. It probably sounds very conspiracy theory-ish but these days people are starting to realize there’s no such thing as being cancelled. You’re just getting your name highlighted.

Travis encouraged his fans to act like this.
He has been arrested at least 2 times for inciting riots and disorderly conduct at his shows.
In 2015, he was arrested after encouraging fans to jump security barricades.
In 2017, he encouraged concertgoers at to rush the stage, injuring a security guard, a police officer and several others.
A man was pushed from a third-floor balcony and paralyzed at a Travis Scott concert after he encouraged concertgoers to jump, saying “Don’t be scared, they’ll catch you”.
