I was once in a situation like this. However there was enough space to go to barriers and ask to be carried out. Many rescue teams were there and were pulling out people IMMEDIATELY. No one got hurt. It really depends on a crowd, if people go wild and don't give a f who is around them it's very easy to cause panic.

I was in pushed crowd for maybe 2 minutes and I absolutely had enough. After I got out I was EXHAUSTED. If you fall you die basically.

Let's not get too ahead of ourselves.

Cardiac arrest can be, and is often, caused by serious trauma to the body. This is known as Traumatic cardiac arrest (TCA). What that means is basically some external thing has caused the heart to stop beating due to blunt or penetrating trauma. In a rush of people in a crowd this large, it does not take much to get knocked to the ground. If you're on the ground in a stampede of thousands of people, you will be violently kicked and bashed around and sustain injuries comparable to that of a car accident or falling from a great height. If this continues for a sustained period of time, your body can only handle so much. The official cause of death will be cardiac arrest, but the manner of death would be being trampled. The cardiac arrest is just the body's response to the trampling.

Oh, come ON…11 people don’t just simultaneously have heart attacks due to adrenaline. Clearly something else is happening here.

This is so sad. Shows are a place of good times and happiness. I’m typically a “the closer, the better” in general admission shows but I never think about the crowds being too aggressive. The videos of people chanting “stop the show” and the girl going to a cameraman to stop the show really upset me because they were crying for help and the cameraman could have just cut off and told the production team. These kids look like their teenagers or early 20’s and I’m sure most of them were not involved in worsening the matter, I just hope promoters do a better job at controlling crowds and standing room.

people who died were: 14,16,21,21,23,23,27 and one undefined

Father identifies unknown Astroworld Fest victim as his 21-year-old son Axel Acosta.
He traveled by himself from Washington to see Travis Scott. It was his first concert.

25 people were transported to the hospital and 13 people remain hospitalized. 5 of the people who remain hospitalized are under the age of 18.

“What we know is that we have eight people who have died as a result of the injuries suffered at at that event,”
“That number may rise, because we did transport more people in critical condition. We took 11 that they were performing CPR on en route to the hospital.”

Lina Hidalgo: "What I know so far is LiveNation and Astroworld put together a site plan, that they were at the table with city of Houston agencies and Harris County's energy park. Perhaps the plans were adequate, perhaps they weren't followed. Everyone affected deserves answers."

Actions were taken after 2019 barricade incident at AstroWorld. This year had an increase in police, private security, event security, additional space, and stronger barricade and fencing. But still want to know if more had to be done and how it could have been prevented.

In 2019, there were 409 event security, 30 armed security, and 47 police officers.
In 2021, 505 event security, 91 armed, and 76 HPD officers.

HPD chief Finner on why they didn't stop the show sooner after declaring a mass casualty incident: "You cannot just close when you have over 50,000 individuals. You have to worry about riots when you have a group that young."

This is absolute madness... I can’t believe how brainwashed people can be over a celebrity... to literally stomp over eachother and then still party while the ambulances are there? And Travis still kept going?... this word is insane

This is actually interesting because it destroys the narrative that there were not precautions taken.

This will be an interesting turn of events.
