she definitely felt sorry for what she did because it ruined her life too, that's the whole point, that's still remorse, "what have i done?" again as gaga put it ·"when you kill someone else you really kill yourself"

No, it isn't. Feeling sorry for yourself because your life is ruined is not the same as feeling remorse for what you did. You have to feel sorry REGARDLESS of any impact it had on you for it to be true remorse. They are not the same thing. And it was Gaga that said that, not Patrizia. We don't know if Patrizia thinks that too.

I'm not saying she's definitely not remorseful, though the recent interview where she still half-denies even doing it, or the fact that she's still happily living off his money even now, would indicate that she isn't (outside of feeling sorry that she went to prison). As far as I know she's never even apologised to her daughters – she just sued them for money.

it's still remorse for what she did REGARDLESS if it's because she feel sorry for herself and her life or if she feel sorry because someone else is dead, is about someone becoming a murderer, is less about the person being dead but more about it was you who killed them, it's regret about what YOU did with your life, more when ppl is in jail paying for their crimes and they start to think all the things they did wrong with their lives and how everything could've been different and your life now is ruined, it's regrets and remorse.

No, it isn't. I'm not going to carry on this argument because you seem weirdly wedded to almost defending this person? And are actively ignoring all the evidence from her current behaviour that she's not sorry at all outside of having gone to prison.

But again – remorse for killing someone and feeling sorry because you ruined your life aren't the same thing and that won't change no matter how many times you reply to tell me they are. And we don't need to try and make her sorry just because Gaga is playing her.

Think of it this way. Do you think she'd feel sorry if she'd never been caught? That's what true remorse is.

we don't have to know whether she thinks that or not now, she tried to kill herself too and it demonstrates that the phrase is true, she said that based on her facts and exposition.

yes what i'm trying to say is that she at some point she was remorseful, se had to feel remorse in some way because it's a human thing regardless if it was born from ego or goodness and repentance , i'm not trying to say she's all good and she's cannor sleep her nights thinking how bad she was and how she has change etc, she's human like everybody else, i guess regrets is a better word than remorse but you know what i'm trying to say? she's doesn't have always that strong personality façade, i'm sorry english is no my first language and i can be misunderstood easily.

i'm not defending her lol i don't think she's a good person at all, let alone a just victim of her circumstances, i think she's a sociopath too, and is reasonable given her history of life.
but when you try to kill yourself in that way i think in her case it's because you have to put guilt in yourself, you have to be remorseful, if you put guilt in everybody else but you, you have a sense of injustice that keeps you from blaming yourself and hurting yorself, i don't think she's consitantly remorseful, but at some point she was and reasonable

No of course she didn't want to get caught, maybe it was a big shock for her at the beginning but if she somehow could've get away with the murder she just probably would've forget about it, she doesn't have that sense of morality, she has literally the "i'm not particularly ethical but i am fair" mentality, but my point is remorse or regrets when you have to face the consequences of your deeds and when they make you doubtful and insecure about your own sense of "fairness" and you start to question yourself etc

OK. I'm not arguing that she doesn't regret it, but she seemingly only regrets it because of the impact it had on her own life. That's not remorse. That's all I'm saying.

mmm idk, regrets and remorse is a bit of the same thing to me or at least they intertwine, regardless of what's the cause of it, and that was what gaga said "what have i done?" doesn't imply the cause of her concern.

Patrizia is definetly a very interesting and complex character, i'm so exited to see how gaga developed it, i'm sure she nailed it and it would be very thought provoking.

Let's just leave this discussion because we're getting nowhere. Like I can't say 'they're not the same thing' any more times, and you replying 'I think it is' won't change that. So let's call it.

i mean i know it's not the same thing being remorseful for the impact something can take on your life than for the harm you cause in others so i think i got your point too :saladga:
