I could be making this up, but I'm feeling like the 'awkwardness' is coming from the fact Gaga is so used to doing interviews like this and giving long, drawn out answers, and the rest of the cast are sitting back and just letting her do all the talking because they know she's good at it

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

It’s true though. I trust her but damn she is really playing into the unhinged hand hard. Especially since Kristen Stewart had an interview drop today where she said that she would never be in character off set because she doesn’t need tricks and doesn’t have to become who she is portraying.

Wow very interesting, I didn't know Kristen said that. I mean it's just different acting styles I'm surprised that she would call it a trick :oprah:

Gaga even was saying yesterday about her and Adam's different styles, and how she came with her "big emotions" where he's more studious

I love how dramatic our little one is. She is so emotionally connected to everything she does and so present and has such a theatrical flair. I'm sure it's inspiring but also endearing and maybe a tad amusing to her peers, especially someone as down to earth and motherly like Salma.

This energy is so different compared to how Sarah Paulson for example felt about Gaga working on AHS, she was fangirling all over the place, which is cute too. And then you had Angela Bassett who was more low key expressing her experience. I find the different work dynamics very interesting.

According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch

Salma trying to cease the awkwardness made all even more awkward:ladyhaha:

one thing to keep in mind is that this is fun and new and exciting for her, but this is Adam's like 3rd movie this year for example. They're probably proud of the movie and had a good time making it, but very few actors would say press and promo was their favourite part, or even something they enjoy

(that said, I would like to see everyone have a bit more fun :laughga:)

oh i know - you can tell this is new and exciting for her! it's hilarious and cute

I don't find the cast awkward at all, they were just chilling while Gaga was talking and then the interviewer suddenly calls them out so they can say out loud that they love Gaga too. Personally I would be pissed and wouldn't bother reacting either, if I want to tell people I love them, I'm not going to do it in front of an interviewer just because she asked me to.

Kristen said it before the Vogue interview came out. And I honestly didn't take the tricks thing as an insult, she was just saying some people do it one way and others another way. She's complimented method actors in the past.

I love Gaga but monsters need to chill on going after Kristen...the Kristen fans and even film twitter are starting to notice & get annoyed by it.

It's going to be a long road to Awards season with Monsters harassing her co-stars for not acting happy enough around her. You guys do realize this is going to backfire on Gaga right?

This might be a big moment for her career but it's just another role for everyone else there. Adam has been the lead in 3 movies released this year and he just finished shooting another one.

They're all grown adults, they're not required to do fan service like Bradley and Gaga did to push ASIB.

Bradley low key is kind of overly dramatic slash meets overly earnest—I think that's why he and Gaga clicked. Fans need to realize that isn't always going to happen. Adam also always looks annoyed/pissed as does Al. TBH it's why I was sort of hoping Gaga would just do press with Jared as he's stoner/chilled out approach isn't as jarring next to her.

I said this before, but I kind of worried stans, anti stans, etc. would overreact to the drastic difference in their personalities and get on a "they all hate Gaga train"...which the tabloids would then pick up on.

I’m not personally surprised and agree with what you’ve said and lord knows retweeted that same sentiment all over Twitter but it’s weird how many other people seem to have forgot she’s Lady F*cling Gaga and how this is in some way new lol. She’s passionate and over dramatic not crazy but that isn’t how it’s coming off really.

Part of the problem is that half the answer-which is what happens on twitter-looks weirder out of context.

Oh okay, I'll have to watch the interview and get full context

Kristen's kind of an art house/indie darling even if the GP is cold on her, so the fans going after her on social media is...not a good look.

Yeah tbf I do think while there is awkward dynamic to a degree due to all of them having insanely different personalities and approaches to interviews...the journalist is the one who created the awkward moment in that case.

This exactly, and then the cynicism of saying "i was just trying to help you out sis" sends me :triggered::nooo:

The journalist was looking for clickbait.
