GTA 6 is in development hell

The development of GTA 6 is "chaotic," and has been subject to multiple reboots, according to a Rockstar leaker.

In recent videos (translated from French, via NeoGAF), Rockstar Mag reporter Chris Klippel, spoke at length about the game's development, which he said is "just a big mess really. I can tell you it has been confirmed to me - and I can't go into details - to date it is Rockstar's most chaotic project since its creation."

Citing the development difficulties suffered by Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA 4, Klippel said that "next to this, that's nothing."

The issues appear to stem from multiple changes at the 'scenario level' - features like the game's narrative, characters, setting, and map. Klippel says that Rockstar has changed GTA 6 at this level "several times since 2014," including one reboot in 2019, despite a reveal initially planned for Spring 2020. Those large-scale changes make it difficult for either Rockstar or leakers to disseminate accurate information, as details are changing all the time.

They dont have to make anything crazy, we just need a new map and new main protags and storyline.

theyre only behind because theyre trying to implement unnecessary content in the game lol

I'll never get the level of excited I had for GTA 5 as a kid. I remember I only had 50$ on me and used it to buy GTA 5 anyway

Idk what the f.uck is wrong with Rockstar. You'd think they would have learnt their lesson by now, and started to plan everything meticulously beforehand, commit to an idea, and then hit the ground running with a clear idea of the final outcome they need to achieve. Ridiculous. They make some amazing games, but their teams really struggle to get it there. 

Just another example of what happens when business men (with dollars in their eyes) are in control of creative projects that they don't even understand themselves

 

P.S. Oh well it's fine. I've just bought GTA5 on Steam and been playing on the nopixel servers, so I'm sure I'll get another few years out of that game before they get their sh.it together and make GTA6
