I feel like she says this about every album, hopefully one day she’ll make an album that’s both good and doesn’t make her want to stick her head in a blender  :fatcat:

Thank you. I wonder why she always feels like she has to dig so deep for these pop records. I wish somebody would ask her that

Some of you guys must have nothing else going on in your lives to be so pissed about Chromatica not having enough this or that. Get over it

cry me a river. people pay alot of money to see her live and she fails to deliver time and time again. this is not a good enough reason to be putting minimal effort into making this tour happen.

So her mental health is not a good enough excuse for you wow your so rude

Some of you saying Gaga's "tired" if pop music could not be more wrong. Use your brains. The fact that she made Chromatica, a full on dance pop album after the HUGE SUCCESS that A Star Is Born OST was explains it all. She's 13 years into her career, she's now in the position where she can do whatever tf she wants with her music because the power and influence she has built within the industry over the years allows her to do so. She doesn't have to worry about her "fans" leaving her if she stops doing dance music because she knows she can have the GP (a far more profitable demographic) to her side by doing ballads or jumping into collabs with mainstream huge artists yet she decided to make a conceptual dance album because she felt like she needed that in her life. The sole reason she doesn't enjoy Chromatica is because she goes back to those dark days whenever she listen to the songs SHE wrote based on her pain and misery.

She's not tired of pop, she's not done with music or fame, she's just an artist constantly evolving and fighting her inner demons like everyone else. Please be kind towards her, send her love, do not judge her, do not trash her because at the end she brings us joy with her pain. What a tragic yet beautiful and kind gift that is. She's a woman, a human being who's being judged and loved by the world on a daily basis. Just love her like a sister or a mother. I know for sure I will always be right by her side.

That's truly the vibe I'm starting to get. First it was ARTPOP came from a dark place fueled by drugs, then it was Joanne came from a dark place fueled by family healing, Born This Way came from her listening to fans' pain and struggles, and I can promise you in a year or two she will say the new album with Tony was a dark time for her because of his disease. I love her to death, but, and I really can't explain this, it puts us as fans in such a strange place where we aren't sure if we should even be able to enjoy the music that causes the person we love so much pain? Chromatica is my favorite album of hers, and now it seems she wants us (and her) to forget about it? Does she only truly enjoy performing cover songs these days?

Being a Gaga fan is the trip of a lifetime, lol.

While I agree with you that she is not tired of pop music, but it seems like this pain is somehow rooted in the music itself and not  just the lyrics. It has been the case for every album after BTW. It seems like the pain is the trauma from the ARTPOP era, even Joanne was difficult for her.

Again, this is personal to her. I respect that, She shouldn’t feel obliged to deliver. However, it is very normal for fans to have expectations based on previous experiences with performances and so on. Invalidating that, is also delusional

I hope she comes back when she is ready mentally with pop music, that she likes, one day without pressuring herself to do so.

That was actually my first thought too, but the again I feel like most artists write from a place of pain. Gaga is probably the kind of artist who thinks she can't write a good song if she's happy.

This narrative has been going on now for almost 8 years. At some point you have to question it, like seriously do the people around her have her best interests at heart? She has never ever taken a real career break, since AP shes had plenty of opportunities to take some time and go live her life but she doesn’t, she goes from one project to the next and literally doesn’t stop. I don’t think it’s for fans, there are plenty of artists who are on Gaga’s level that don’t operate like machines yet still please their fans.

There's a true in this. Actually you have a tone of artist that "like" to write from a place of pain...i mean it's not so much that they like it, it's probably something that drives them more, probably like you said, they don't think they're that good at writing if they're happy. Sometimes when we look at some artists work we clearly see they more inspired by the pain, dark moments, personal demons.

Sure, Taylor Swift would be an example. Beyoncé, Adele. Huge artists that take time for themselves because they can.

I meant the part where she is working non-stop but it is not for the fans

Because if she had decided to take a proper break I don’t think her fans would just abandon her or something. For the last 8 years it’s like she’s been a hamster on a wheel and there’s this underlining idea that it’s all for the fans and I question it.
