Why do they even bother to provide a review for an artist that they obviously despise? :crossed:

Especially the article about the diminishing shocking value of grotesque in pop was unnecesarily harsh.

I really enjoy the album, it is a solid pop record that has some beautiful and moving lyrics. Does it reinvent anything? Absolutely not. But when has this become a requirement for the quality of an album?

I was pleasantly surprised it's the first Ed album that doesn't have any WTF is this?? moment. It's not original even for him but there's lots of bangers. And what I find irritating is the double standard many people apply just to trash him. If Gaga sang Stop the Rain it'd be a certified bop. I mean how is this any different than, let's say, Free Woman? P!nk could easily sing Collide, Ellie Goulding could be on Love in Slow Motion and I'm sure these songs would've been appreciated way more.

Anyway, the album makes me very happy so I hope it helps others as well! :nick:
