He’s certainly a King, but not the King of POP MUSIC

The Weeknd had two pop smash hits from his last album and just did the Super Bowl last year, and another 80s inspired synth-pop album like After Hours is on the way. Not to mention he’s setting a standard for immersive eras again, the storyline of After Hours continued for a year and a half and the era is still going to continue within and alongside The Dawn era

Call Me By Your Name was pop-ish but that’s the closest Nas has come so far :ohwell:

I’d call him the King of Rap rn, the first major Gay Black rap artist

I see him more like a rapper, and I think it's very important to call him a rapper, an openly gay rapper is what we need, and he's breaking barriers in many ways, he definitely will be remembered in my opinion

Queen Bitch

I'm sorry, he's talented, but no. Just no. He's not even 10% of the way there. He's not a king, not even a prince yet. It's like when they already called Gaga the new queen of pop in 2011. Huge exaggeration.
