It's very reminiscent of traditional Día de los Muertos markings which is common in Mexican heritage...but the US has commercialized and appropriated it, like most things :bear:

It has similarities, but it has nothing to do with Día de Muertos. And even if it were, she doesn't have to be cancelled, Mexicans love that others admire and use our culture (with respect).

I 100% agree with you. That doesn't mean the internet isn't going to try and solve racism by cancelling celebs :laughga:

Wasn't this the promo look for the eye-lie-ner? To showcase how black the colour is and how and precise the tip is?

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

The holiday literally exists because of colonization, it’s a marriage between the catholic halloween, all Saint day, All Souls’ Day and the Aztec and Mexican month of the dead

Chesnut said that as part of the Spanish colonization of the Americas, Spaniards brought Catholicism and its holy days to the continent. Already in Central Mexico, the Aztecs had a similar celebration dedicated to honoring their dead that lasted for a month during the modern month of August.

Again, I'm not disputing this. But we live in cancel culture society, all I was saying.

Paisley tattoos = Hinduism (INDIAN).

Read the caption on Haus Labs's twitter/IG!

Paisley is very popular. Fashion and tattoos. The photographer is Indian-American.

NOTHING whatsoever to do with Mexico or Spain, sorry.

No, it's not a new photoshoot. Yes, you can do anything with HL Micro-Tip Eye-Lie-Ner. That's the point.

Haus Labs caption: ladygaga in paisley tattoos. saratannomakeup created these intricate lines using our Micro-Tip Liquid Eye-Lie-Ner in ‘Punk’. This ultra thin liner is made to create the sharpest lines with extreme precision, so you can craft a detailed masterpiece.
