This is so lazy and petty. Bernie Sanders is literally in the talks with Manchin and Sinema and cannot get through to them either. How would he have faired as President? Even more progressive legislation, which if you haven’t noticed this already is? Would be shot down the same way.  The problem is that Democrats actually do not control a majority in the Senate as Manchin and Sinema are practically republicans. Manchin is threatening to leave the party and become independent if he doesn’t get his way on this.

But seriously, it's literally the same here. Two parties now in coalition talks for our new government wanted to introduce a tax for high incomes, but thanks to the third party involved in the talks, it was scrapped from all their agendas .
