Singer Giselle of K-pop girl group Aespa apologised today for seemingly mouthing a racial slur while singing a song, which prompted a backlash online.

In a behind-the-scenes look at the band preparing to release their hit single Savage, the members were seen singing along to Sza and Travis Scott’s Love Galore.

i wish we'd have more apologies like this. less apologies making excuses and saying they meant to say something else and more apologies just admitting that they got carried away and acted like an idiot.

It's interesting how fast the reactions of K-Pop fans were to this when the majority of K-Pop fandoms don't blink twice before hurling racial slurs around themselves...

Good for her, hope she actually learned (as well as her team members) and I hope she doesn't make the same mistake in the future, cause she will be held accountable
