A lot of theories that kinda of become the most accepted in science in any 1 field  often get told in a way repeatedly, and ppl get the impression they are an irrefutable fact and then get surprised when its either debunked or in other cases the opposite (further comfirmed)...

 

But many times they really are just the best explanations and conclusions we have with the evidence we have available so far

 

So when new evidence arises it helps re-inforce certain theories but science is constantly being challanged and adjusted...

 

Unless its something u can physically literally see or measure and/or observe directly and is 100% irrefutable, theres never really truly a "we knew this already" in science. More data and evidence is always welcome to help comfirm something (or cast doubt if maybe it turns out to be wrong)

I think our prehistoric ancestors picked up on a greater consciousness that other animals can’t, which is why there are cave paintings depicting “spiritual” rituals and whatnot… sadly religion is now deeply corrupt and lost touch with what it was supposed to be… which is a way for us to feel deeply connected to the world and those around us. Also when it comes to dieties, From what I’ve gathered (especially from Ancient Greek mythology) they are simply archetypical representations of energies/universal patterns that exist within our mind. They aren’t actually beings outside of ourselves.

anyways what I was trying to say is religion didn’t start out as a bad thing. Though I’d agree that today’s culture has spoiled the original intent.

It’s so crazy and unfathomable to think Dinosaurs roamed the Earth and were around for millions of years and humans didn’t even exist! It’s honestly mindblowing. Like the existence of dinosaurs at one point seems unreal and almost like a movie tbh.

Anyone else feel this way?
