Kanye West officially changes his name to “Ye” with judge’s approval today

A Los Angeles judge today approved a petition by rapper Kanye West to officially change his name to be known simply as “Ye,” with no middle or last name.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michelle Williams Court gave her nod to the request by the singer, who filed his petition Aug. 24 and stated he was making the change for personal reasons.

Not to be that person, but this is actually such a foolish choice from a financial aspect because it opens you up to a huge risk of identity theft. All they have to do is find your signature and they can start getting info about you and steal your money. I saw it happen all the time at the bank I worked at.

To make things worse, he's a mega celebrity so he'll be a target of scams for sure.
