Okay here's the thing... movies that are this f.ucking long need to bring, back, intermissions!

I could handle watching a 2.5 hour long film and invest the time, if I could have a 10 minute break to take in what has happened, maybe have a chat about what's happened so far, stretch my legs, pee, get a drink, etc. Otherwise I find with long ass movies like this I tend to get a headache and a sore butt and crampy legs from the awful cinema seats. Or too hot or too cold or just generally uncomfortable.

Personally I would be 100% happy to do this for this film, and certain others. But I think at this point most people are just not willing to watch a movie this long, unless it's some kind of cult hit with a massive following like Lord Of The Rings or MCU

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

Tbh when I went to go watch endgame, it felt like a regular length movie. It was so filled with stuff and paced well that honestly I forgot it was a 3 hour movie.

Personally I'm fine with sitting through a 3 hour movie if it's something I really wanna see, but the difference is that this is just a random movie, not some huge ongoing series with a massive cult following (like LOTR or MCU) where they can get away with making them 3hrs long.

Sometimes movies this long feel like they drag on and on if they aren't entertaining and engaging the whole time, and there's nothing worse than your audience leaving the cinema after clock-watching for the last hour. I hate to talk about 'the GP' and whatever but that's the way it is in film. It's a gamble to make a film over 2hrs, because if it is that long it has to be realllly good the whole way through

I just want this film to be received well so that Gaga's success in ASIB isn't written down to 'a fluke' or 'beginners luck' because she got so much acclaim for that role, I don't want that taken away from her by her second role being received badly. And this film is starting to feel like a bit of a gamble already :eww:  I'm nervous for her

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

Also, if any of you are looking down on people for not having adequate attention spans, that's a bit rude and insensitive given a lot of people struggle with ADHD/ADD/sensory issues. You don't know who might read that comment who already struggles with something they can't change about themselves :smh:  people with lower attention spans don't choose to be that way, and it can be a daily struggle for some people who already feel outcast or less-than because of it.

Not trying to tell anyone off about it, but just try to remember that

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

Exactly, thank you.

I used to binge shows and movies as a teen and probably could sit through this entire thing. Recently I watched The Godfather with my parents and had to split every movie in 2 sessions. Most of these days I just binge anime or series that are 20 minutes per episode. My brain can't handle 3h in 1 session.

Until then, this is Elvira saying unpleasant dreams.

I'm someone who has attention issues too, and when I saw a psychologist she said I don't quite qualify for ADHD because I don't quite meet all the markers, so basically borderline. And I know people who have ADHD and struggle with self worth because of the way they were always treated for being 'dumb' or 'unfocussed'. So I just try to be mindful that everyone is different and we have to remember these things when placing judgement

Although hey I'm not perfect, we're all going to slip up and say something insensitive sometimes, we're also all human

FFXIV WhiteMage

I thunk this amount of runtime is better catered to Fantasy Fiction genre like LOTR and Avengers/Marvel Superhero movies.

But I’ll watch it anyways. Just not on movie theaters :huntyga:

Monster Voices

Imma need 3 pee breaks, 2 snack breaks, 4 phone breaks and will likely fall asleep before the ending lol. In all seriousness it's not some spic insane movie like Endgame, edit it to 2h and let people enjoy it casually.

Forever and Always!
