I'll be the first one to pile on Nicki but she's just saying that this is no different than someone getting spray tan.

Also I was thinking about this the other day but, was it ok for Xtina to darken her skin during the Stripped era to appear more "latina" when she is fair skinned?

It depends on the context tbh, of which we have none because the original post/comments on the post aren't shown.

But to me it looks like Jesy was getting a lot of sh.it, and Nicki was defending her. OR that Nicki is just making a broad statement about how lighter skinned people can take tanning too far. Definitely not shading Ariana specifically, that's a reach

I don't support Nicki anymore in any way, but lets not start something when there's nothing really there

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

I just imagine @BUtterfield 8taking some psychotic pills before coming up with that title, why Ariana when literally every singer looks like that? lol

Edit: I think it could be "chola" which she could probably get away with due to her heritage. Did anyone have a problem with this? I honestly can't remember.

I feel like I've seen people go at her for it but it's hispanic/latina style and she's latina (I guess? I know nothing about her) so :laughga:

OT: It's more than just the tan though? No one's accusing her of blackface, they're accusing her of trying to pass as black despite being a white woman :poot:

Billie is not latina.. she is of irish and scottish descent… and Rosalia is not latina either, she’s from Spain (ie: of spanish descent), but not from LATIN america, making her hispanic but not latina.

xtina is half latina (although born and raised in new york and estranged from her latino father from a young age lol), but being latine doesnt immediately make you brown, which christina desperately tried to be in the early 2000s lmfaoaoaoaoao there are white latinos, black latines, brown latines, asian latines, indigenous latines, etc. latine is merely an ethnicity, so it doesn’t really justify the brown face as a white latina 🥲

and yeah nicki is definitely missing the point.. there is a difference between tanning and actively black/brownfishing. and jesy is doing the latter lol
