Nick just wants to be the parent who can give them the phone and let them entertain themselves. No wonder kids these days have such short attention spans and are all determined for 15 seconds of TikTok fame

I don't think it's "normal" in most of the world for kids to get smartphones at age 10. If they feel like they're "missing out on something all the other kids are getting" (which is not true) then they have unrealistic expectations that it would be good for them to learn to manage. They aren't missing out either because they have ipads.

 The rest of us kids have to accept "being excluded" from the designer clothes, vacations, etc. that celebrity kids get to have. It's good for us to learn to accept ourselves and our parents' limits. Celebrity kids get spoiled because they never experience limitations. It could only be good for a celebrity kid to learn limitations and learn to accept being said "no" to.

These kids are so rich and have access to so many activities and opportunities, why waste your time on being on a cell phone?

My poor ass had a phone to kill the time because I had nothing better to do
