Scri 990
As now confirmed by Twitch, it got leaked. The leaked material (more than 128 GB) includes: source code with comments; references to an unreleased steam competitor (codename: Vapor); data about other properties of Twitch (such as IGDB and CurseForge); payouts; encrypted passwords and more. In particular, among non-sensible data, people are commenting on streamers earnings (link 1, link 2). Source.
Guest
The earnings are astronomical. Way more than I ever expected from anyone on Twitch, honestly. I was watching a streamer today that was on the list on their personal somewhat private channel and he said as far as his numbers were concerned they're mostly in line. I don't understand why people send streamers money like that, but I guess do what you want with your money, etc.

Exactly, it's way deeper than this. But the fact that "salaries" are not well-known is part of these companies strategy, as youtubers can't talk about how much they earn. RahrahWitch 6,985
I was surprised by the amount of money that some streamers were making but then I remembered the fact that 93% of twitch streamers have less than 5 viewers. 50 viewers and your in the top 1%. With twitch constantly promoting a very very small percentage of creators and doing nothing for the visibility of smaller streamers it makes sense that the people at the top are going to earn a majority of the share. Is the "gross earnings" what they have received in total from the platform over their time in it, and un US dollars?

No, it's the last two year income (08-19 to 10-21) and yes, it is in US dollars.
