So no artistic growth... Again? Okay.

And you can tell that by one song?

The more I think about it, the more I believe Adele really does have a new sound.

The second “Easy On Me” set in Universal Studios is clearly meant to be seen in color. It’s vibrant and a stark contrast to the black and white preview she posted. There are also other people in view of the camera, while Adele is entirely alone in the preview.

They filmed the black and white portion in the same place as the Hello video, which makes me believe the beginning is intended to be symbolic of her last era. The major difference in the two sets aesthetically also makes me believe that they are trying to convey an entrance into her new and quite different era, and there are a number of ways to highlight the differences between the two.

Transitioning from black and white to color would make the most sense if it was accompanied by a musical change somewhere in the song. I think she wants to convey a segue into her new style with this release.

How is no one discussing the Marry the Night video vibes? Gaga's impact tho!

Inb4 she starts with:

When I look back on my life it's not that I don't want to have hit after hit every year, it's just that I prefer to remember them in the age I was when I wrote them. And truthfully, the lie of it all is much more honest because I invented pop music. Clinical psychology tells us arguably that my album eras are the ultimate killers. Memories are not recycled like generic pop songs and particles in quantum physics, they can just flop forever.

It's sort of like my past is an unfinished amount of time writing music and as the songwriter of that music I must fill in all the ugly billboard list and make it beautiful again.

It's not that I've been dishonest, it's just that I loathe releasing music so soon.

Queen Gloria

She's a very talented woman, her voice is incredible.. but, I'm so tired of her slow/somber ballads vibe. I would go crazy if she randomly put a couple pop/club bangers on the album and branched out a bit. The whole naming her albums after her age thing and writing depressing songs act is just getting kind of tired for me personally.. Like girl, you've been doing the same thing for 15 years. I'd like to see more growth in her style sound wise and visually.

So far the sample alone sounds predictable and so do the visuals…I’m hoping this is a diversion to something a bit more “different” from Adele. If not, then I hope it’s a very good song Hannah Questions GIF by HannahWitton

Hard to judge and get excited by a short clip. But even if it is another album full of ballads, who cares? It's a formula that has worked time and time again, and it's clearly one she enjoys.

You remind me that it's such a wonderful thing to love.

Is it going to be the sequel to Hello? Shooketh

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.
