Right I was gonna say...this gives Hello teaser vibes...I want her to get a little more upbeat now that she has a new body to show off and dance with

No no no. We do not need another dua lipa, or any other bloody mainstream pop girl. Stand there and belt those tracks Adele and do nothing more.

4 million albums first week… oh boy.

wait this is the fourth album???? She’s gonna break the curse?? :gum:

It is her fourth but it was her second that smashed and introduced her to the mainstream so

technically the next will be her fourth in the GPs eyes

So no artistic growth... Again? Okay.

Artistic growth doesn't mean changing it up every time - sometimes growth is also knowing what you're good at and not chasing trends.

I will never forget the first time I heard 'Hello' for the first time in my car on the radio. The goosebumps and tears were all over my body

Anyway my theory is that this is a continuation of Hello - that video was shot in Quebec and Adele was rumoured to have filmed a new video recently in Canada. I think this video is her packing up the house and moving on.

I'm not saying for her to go full blown choreo Beyonce mode...im saying she can make some midtempo music that's just more upbeat and not so ballady ALL the time...just mix it up a lil

maybe where you are, but last i checked 19 has sold over 6.5 million worldwide, won a grammy and was a massive success globally :triggered:

do you think she dropped rolling in the deep and just blew up overnight?

19 definitely piggy backed off the success of 21 and sold more retroactively but it was in no way an album that was known but the general public

chasing pavements is the only single that charted on the Hot 100 and at #21

there’s no way you’re delusional enough to tell be that 19, an album that came out in 2008 and had one song chart at 21 on the hot 100 was “a massive success” compared to Rihanna, Gaga, Taylor, Katy, Kesha, Susan Boyle in that same time :awkney:

again... where i am, and i know in several other counties, a large chunk of the gp know make you feel my love and hometown glory too. she's always been on-off in america but i doubt make you feel my love would've accumulated three times more streams than chasing pavements if its success was purely retroactive.

You know she was on SNL for that album right? :oprah:

She was blowing up FAST with 19 in the rest of the world and the success of Someone Like You and Rolling in the Deep was possible because of the groundwork that 19 laid. I heard Chasing Pavements and Hometown Glory constantly back then.

In the US, hun. 19 was still huge all around the world.
