Expand yes, and jokes like that also come across as insensitive, giving that it's his illness that made him retire and it's taking him away, not because he wanted to or simply because his age to get finally comfort and and peace, music is the very thing that brings him joy. The joke about Poker Face is harmless old hat, and the joke about Tony is just the writer's ironic way of acknowledging that Tony is incredible. It is coming from a good place.
