I actually did. I work in counseling, and while I want to make it clear, I do not agree nor do I believe those kind of actions were right, people deserve a second chance to redeem themselves. Humans are complex, the mind is complex.

So @Munchlax, if you committed or did something that was extremely wrong, you would be okay being condemned for the rest of your life?

You do realize sexual inappropriateness/ Sex offenders are blacklisted for the rest of their lives in the USA, are subjected to unjust living quarters and can’t find employment, but convicted felons/murders, after release are not held to that standard.

Please open your minds horizons. Thanks.

Wait what? Why am I being tagged here? :triggered:

The thing about that is she was giving interviews and apologizing saying she got help and knows better.... while still doing the same perv-y stuff.

She was given a second chance and blew that too. Soooooo maybe just let people feel what they're feeling about this development in the story.

This is my Hannah Montana™️ lipgloss.

She's a sex offender.

TL;DR: Out of drag he lured actors to audition for roles/plays using a pseudonym, and made them submit very explicit tapes. The roles weren’t real and he was using them to get off.

lots of people came out of the woodwork as being affected by him.

not only that but he actively encouraged them to abuse steroids under the pretense of landing a role resulting in serious permanent health problems for the victims

Everyone makes mistakes. As long as she recognizes it, learns from it, and doesn’t do it again…then she deserves a second chance.

I don’t believe in cancel culture.

what sherry done is not a "mistake"

it was a calculated effort to effectively ruin these peoples lives for her sexual pleasure. please dont try to justify what this pervert done under the guise of not believing in cancel culture. she hasn't been cancelled, she's been held accountable for her depraved actions

MessyTop

I don’t like her and don’t support her, but be careful with calling her a criminal.
she was never charged with a crime nor declared a sex offender, in the court of law that is.
public opinion in the other hand …:trollga:

What is your definition of “mistake”? She is being held accountable for what she has done. Even more so in the publics eye.

As I previously replied to someone else, if you did something wrong, you would be alright being condemned for the rest of your life?

Since you aren’t in that persons shoes, and she has been held accountable, which was made very clear every episode of season 12, you’re ok with just letting them not have a life and should just sit in the shadows for the rest of her life?

What you are implying is cancel culture

I totally feel you. I don’t care for drama either, and I’m not trying to stir the pot. But after working with so many people who did what Sherry Pie did, and get to know them, their stories, their self guilt, their awareness of what they did, and then for the rest of society to so easily judge them, and prevent them from trying to merge back into society…I can’t help but to speak up. Like I said, I don’t think her actions were right. But it is so easy for others, especially people on the internet, behind their computers or smart phones to lash out with hate. I bet if it was a conversation with a face to face interaction, People wouldn’t have the courage to speak up and voice their opinions.

well i wouldn't force young men to send me videos of them saying and doing degrading things on camera while nude while forcing them to abuse steroids resulting in permanent bodily harm while also making them turn down other acting roles which ultimately affects their income so its kind of hard for me to answer that question

yes if you have sexually abused someone. do not attempt to enter the spotlight and earn money from the career you used to harm people, you're not wanted or welcome.

get a regular job like the rest of us where you cant actively harm people in the same way.

True. If I knew I made a mistake in the past, especially if it was something I knew was extremely wrong, I don’t think it would be a wise move to go into the public eye and be on a reality show.

Don't put the narrative on me. Your example are flawed and I am not gonna take prt in it. You are a mess for this. And if you work in counseling like you said, you'd already understand the torment the victims of rapist experience and felt  and that never really gies away until their abusers died. I'll find where you work and will report this 👎👎👎

I’m not creating a narrative for you. You choose to voice your opinion, I voiced mine. As I have said a couple of times, I don’t believe what she did was right. I simply stated that people are entitled to redemption. I actually never said anything about her victims or voiced what they must have felt or still feel.

I simply conveyed that people make mistakes and wrong/disturbing behavior and that as a society we should give these people a second chance.

Be blessed. :ally:
