She's talked many times about considering giving up being a singer, and just writing songs for other artists. I remember just before her 2019 album came out she was having a bad day and posted on IG stories about how maybe she should just give away all the most "pop" songs on her album to other artists. Bc at least that way more people would hear them. I mean "Good Ones" is such a bop, if someone else sang it like Selena Gomez, Shawn Mendes, Olivia Rodrigo etc etc it might be blowing up right now. Vice versa if Charli had kept "Senorita" for herself it would not have been such a big hit. It must be so frustrating to write all these great songs and know that for them to be hits she has to give them away. Anyway, her openness about self doubt and insecurity makes her the perfect artist for 911. BloodPop did an incredible job of matching the artists to the right songs on DOC.
