As cool as this sounds on paper, there is no telling how much discomfort the animal will be in once it's born, and that hardly justifies the whole... lets do it cuz we can, so... I kinda hope they'll just leave this alone... It went nowhere with the dino-chicken, let it go and figure out how to reverse aging instead

Scientists can't even decide on Megalodon's taxonomy still... I'm also pretty sure noone successfully kept a large cruising shark in captivity for more than a week, and it's unlikely Megalodon wasn't one

Since the 90s many scientists groups tried to do it with no success, I don't see any change.

About dinos, the DNA is too old and too damaged to even try.

The species of Northern white rhinos didn't go extinct completely, only the male side (they preserved the sperm of the last specimen that died in 2015). There are still two females from which they try to preserve as many ovaries as possible.
