I don’t even like the girl but I agree that she has a voice for blues or pop rock orientated music. Hopefully one day she’ll stop doing covers.

Typical Metal/Rock/Alternative artist views: if you sing that kind of music you become more “respected” as an artist vs doing pop. I do agree Miley fits the rock genre, no doubt. But that’s not what makes an artist respected IMO. It’s like when Elton John was saying Gaga is wasting her talent on pop/dance music but he is mentoring Ed, praising Rina and collaborating with Dua although they all do pop, just different type.

I get it Metallica is one of the biggest bands in rock and metal history but I can’t help but wonder if the reason people are popping off in this thread is only because they performed with Gaga at the Grammys
