It later ended up on Kylie’s Light Years album and the rest was history. Fun facts and coincidental links: Anna Vissi first sang On a Night Like this during the Miss Universe beauty pageant in her home country of Cyprus. That was the first public/live performance of the song. The Island of Cyprus was known from ancient times as the supposed birthplace of Aphrodite. Aphrodite also was the name of Kylie’s late 2000s album! Anna Vissi released an album in 2002 called “X” which Kylie also released her own “X” album a few years later.
