Jodie Comer is getting rave reviews for her performance, as she shows off a powerful yet vulnerable character.

This is the only thing that matters, but it's something we expected since Jodie is one of the best.

I mean, Ridley is kinda hit or miss... and I agree some of his movies can drag unbearably long, especially the historical pieces. But when the story is compelling, it's not that much of a problem.

Still excited to see it since it shot in France and I know several people who worked on it. One of my friends was Jodie's personal assistant on it.

loool Who has the time or patience? Its ridiculous how lenghty filma are getting on average. Are they trying to create óperas? Pitty theres no metastasio in Hollywood.

A long film doesn't mean it's necessarily boring, some of the most compelling and immersive pieces in recent memory are long as **** - think Titanic, Lord of the Rings, King Kong, or any Scorsese film...

This TikTok and streaming generation is the real bore, if you ask me... Also, y'all literally binge-watch 8-hour programmes all the time nowadays, so make it make sense.

Y'all aren't ready for House of Gucci reviews. They're gonna be worse. The accents are so off and Jared Leto acting is practically comical at this point. It's gonna be a mess.

I'm so nervous for Gaga :(

yikes, not really good news for HoG, but let’s just hope gaga’s performance pulls through so she can get an oscar nomination regardless

Alien? Gladiator? Hannibal? Blade Runner? The Martian? Thelma & Louise? Even the directorial cut of Kingdom of Heaven was THAT good. Don't see "mediocrity".

Yes, he is a great director.   In cinema class we studied Thelma & Louise.  We only studied films where the directing was excellent, so we could learn from them.

I live outside the space time continuum.

They said the same with ASIB…. HoG definitely has camp appeal, but it isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Just wait for it to come out.

These people think that only boring and serious movies are critically acclaimed :billie:

HoG’s DP literally said that they are intentionally going for the Kitschy soap opera aesthetic. I have no idea why monsters are expecting some kind of a true crime biopic.

I need Gaga in a Burn After Reading/Coen brothers type film
