Juniper 972
After I saw her live in 2010 my jaw dropped because she was the best thing I ever seen on a stage. I was sold. Before that I was a fan of her music, thought she was really cute and sexy and liked her enough to look her up and trying to keep track of what she was doing and she interested me A LOT. I found her unique and fascinating. But I wouldn’t call myself a stan until I experienced her live in 2010.
Guest
When I saw the Paparazzi MV on the music channel for the first time. I was amazed by her creativity and unique style.
Glomer 669
When the Poker Face video came out I remember it trended on YouTube for a few days, I was reluctant at first because I was in a more alternative phase, eventually I watched and liked it but that was it. A few days later, I heard a song that I really liked in a Gossip Girl spot on tv. At first I thought it was Santogold (now Santigold) singing, whom I had also just recently discovered, so I went to the internet to try to find out. The song turned out to be Paparazzi by Lady Gaga. So I was like "Hm, interesting, I should check out some of her other songs and live performances", which led me to also watch some interviews, etc. By the end of 2008, I was already a huge fan and the 2009 VMA, which I was already watching exclusively to see her, took it to a next level. (Seriously, I was obviously already expecting a great performance but I can't describe how awestruck I was by Paparazzi at the VMAs. I've watched most, if not all, Gaga's TV performances that followed, and, although she never disappoints, the only one that came close to stun me like that was the Sound of Music tribute at 2015 Oscars.) Neroneau 1,017
At the time paparazzi came out. Warner Channel dedicated an “inside the music” thingy (a short 3min show they showed between commercials”) she was speaking about paparazzi. I thought Lady Gaga was so fascinating! Telephone mv was a coming of age gagafan-wise hehehe

mightyriverz 2,604
I can't really remember the first time I got in touch with Gaga, but a definitive turning point for me was the day that Judas leaked. I was already gagging over Born This Way, specially being a 11 year old trying to overcome my insecurities and embrace myself as I am, but that moment was simply... I think it was the first time I actually experienced an eargasm, I had to keep playing it over and over and over adnd over again. Then I started collecting CDs, DVDs, magazines, books, and now here I am ten years later, certain that this love can only grow strong.

I opened my laptop, downloaded it on iTunes and texted him through the whole thing. It was actually a really lovely moment although my anxiety didn’t really let me enjoy it much at the time. But from then on I was hooked Wait that's so sweet chaeri pls

Pussy Like Pepsi 238
I was a lowkey Gaga fan before this but I went to the Monster Ball in November 2010. I was 16 and it was the first major arena concert I'd ever been to and I was just OBSESSED with her after that, I thought it was the best thing I had ever seen. I've been in love with her ever since. This thread made me try and remember the first time I ever heard about her / Just dance but I honestly have no idea. It must have been on Spill it Now back when it was released. hELXIG 43,042
It was a slow progression for me, because when she came out I was a depressed, self-loathing, emo with internalised homophobia who listened to Evanescence every day... and my friends only listened to rock and were very elitist about rock vs pop music. But I started paying attention after Bad Romance. I remember a friend of mine got TFM CD and she played it in the car (much to my protest) but I realised the songs were quite boppy... and I remember loving teeth, and noticing a really dark element to her music that I hadn't seen before, and understanding that there was a lot of depth to this woman. I remember when the buzz of BTW started is when I became a fan and FAST. It was the song BTW that made me a mega fan, and when I listened to the album I realised it was incredible and she was a real artist. Then I remember seeing a post that she was about to do a livestream interview, and I clicked the link just out of curiosity, and ended up watching for 2 hours into the early hours of the morning. It was that moment I fell in love with the artist behind the music. I remember feeling so stupid and closed minded for not giving her a chance before, and realising that she was a very intelligent woman with a strong sense of artistry who is studied in art and music and talented af. And also very sweet and cute and charming It was this interview... Spoiler I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
