Good, there's a difference between having freedom of choice and being in the midst of a health crisis. Your choices could kill others, get vaccinated :vegas:

Horny Chicken

Back in the olden days, when members of a society didn’t cooperate, they were brought to the forest and left there. :huntyga: Do you want to be left in a forest? Unvaccinated people prolong the pandemic and if you contribute to that, you should definitely be shunned. Nobody is “forced” to do anything, but actions have consequences.

For the safety of others there should be limitations imposed on individuals who choose to not be vaccinated, like not being able to enter certain spaces or work in certain fields, but you can't violate someone's bodily autonomy by injecting something into their body against their will.

There is a difference between direct and indirectly policies (like the laws you mentioned) in order to make people take vaccines. The direct way violates the principle of bodily integrity.

That's what this law will be, it seems. In no way will be people FORCED to get vaccinated, they'll just be excluded from normal life in society until they decide to pull their head out of their ass :vegas:

I'm here for it :vegas:

This would absolutely be unacceptable. Human beings have the fudamental right to bodily integrity. Nobody should be forced to take a vaccine.

They are not forced, they just choose to make their life more difficult.

Pfizer was FDA approved two weeks ago I believe.

You have no idea how much that substantially reduces my anxiety about getting the vaccine. That’s the info I been waiting for. I’ll get my vaccine soon enough. :firega:

I am vaccinated since february because i work part-time in health care so don't come for me because i just give my two cents:

making it mandatory feels wrong to me. There are some medical reasons (strong allergies for example) that don't go well with vaccines. Further more as of now there is MRNA one out. Since that is a new technology I can understand it when people are sceptic.

I think lots of people are waiting for the form of vaccine - don't know the specific name - that works with the old/dead virus like they do it with for example the cold : there are some in the last trial phase and I totally get the people that want to wait for it

Further more for young people the risk of getting serious issues from catching is not that high (not saying that a vaccine c/would even lower it) and therefore it should be a priority to keep the high-risk patient or elderly people/people with a low immune system vaccinated and even see if they produce antibodies

i think a lot of people could be reached or convinced with lotteries or free stuff (like vouchers for restaurants)

in my country the government lost many people with their tactics, horror talk , lies and other things so I can see why people don't trust them now when it comes to vaccine

If you think you know more about vaccine safety and effectiveness than the vast majority of scientists and healthcare workers just because of **** you’ve read on the internet I have two words for you:

Touch. Grass.

:jase:

Anyone who has had the opportunity to get vaccinated and has chosen not to is ignorant, selfish, and is actively prolonging this pandemic by allowing it to rapidly mutate.

let's just feed global pandemic and let it last for years and let milions of people die, just don't touch our rights to "body integrity," that would be much worse :selena:

To be fair, if they were to make the vaccine mandatory (like, literally you have zero choice in the matter) then I'd be against that too :bear: body autonomy is important and you should be allowed to make your own decisions with your own body. Period. Once one law goes in the books that violates that, it's a free for all. Which is another reason to fight against abortion bans, they violate the body autonomy of women.

It's just that the rule being proposed here is not a literal mandatory vaccine. Just an ultimatum, basically. Get your shots (if you can) or stay away from everyone else. Which we can all support :vegas:
