I think it’s a reach to say that @RAMROD is racist though. He’s just stating his disapproval towards anyone supporting D&G.
For example if it were Kristen Stewart who’s singing (yes she’s not a singer) in this case for D&G I’m sure he’ll also not want Kristen to win considering she’s also in the running for best actress.

I think being in a Lady Gaga website a lot of us would want Gaga to win regardless who or what race the other contenders for best actress are. I mean many of us wont really watch the other movies and just want Gaga to win just cause she is out fav. 

 I think the one making this as a race issue is you. Ramrod's comment is obviously a joke and doesn't have any correlation with actually winning an Oscar. You were pretty harsh.

Total false equivalency.

The House of Gucci is an independent film not a Gucci project. Gaga is not being payed by Gucci to appear in that film. On the contrary, the Gucci family have condemned the film based on it's unflattering portrayal of the family. Which is very different then being payed by a brand to perform at their event, which is what Jennifer Hudson is doing.

That Gucci sweater was created as a tribute to Leigh Bowery. It replicated the iconic silhouette of his lips perfectly. People unfamiliar with the reference understandably took it the wrong way. The design was unsuccessful, tone-deaf, but not racist. Gucci apologized profusely for the misunderstanding.

That weird and problematic Gucci sweater is not comparable to Dolce and Gabbana's extensive history with homophobia and racism. D&G have designed literal black face earrings, they opposed gay marriage, they called gay adoption synthetic and cruel, they implied gay men aren't real men, they proudly dressed and supported Melania Trump, they said they don't want anyone Japanese designing their clothing, and they went on an unhinged rant in which they called Chinese people dirty, smelly, dog-eaters.

Gaga has accepted (and continues to accept) pay checks from horrible companies, but the House of Gucci comparison is just ridiculous, and so is you calling @RAMROD disgusting and racist.

People need to read tf up on whatever D&G have been doing for years. It’s not an isolated incident. There were several occasions, yes several of internalized homophobia from these two and even racism. Even with that said please don’t immediately bring race to the table as if you’re the only one with absolute authority on the matter. It’s counterintuitive. Here’s a quick gist.

Girl, it doesn't matter what the inspiration was. How it's interpreted is what matters. Hello they even apologized for the faux pas and removed the sweater. 

The reason a sweater like that is even released is because of lack of POC in positions of power in Gucci. 

It's not like one google search in 2013 would not have revealed that R.Kelly married Aaliyah as a child bride. People make homework mistakes.

Putting all the weight on women for a someone else's mistakes is stupid. 

And "she should've done her homework" is a ridiculous excuse to cancel anyone. 

Like that stupid Tiffany's diamond and Beyoncé thread when Gaga had already worn that diamond like a year or two ago.
