As much as I hate to say it, the fairy godmother was the worst part of the movie. And the mice. It's like they were competing how to be the most obnoxious. They tried to take the damsel in distress out of the equation and gave it a kind of a feminist touch at the end, so that was good I guess. Healed My Heart 39,510 Posted September 7, 2021 Share Posted September 7, 2021 I watched it lmao. It wasn't quite as bad as it's been made out to be imo, but it is by no means a great movie. Very much for children and doesn't have any of the clever adult humor mixed in like Pixar and others do. Camila was actually maybe the best part of it in terms of acting. I thought she did a good job and she got some laughs out of me. Idina was a letdown for me, very flat performance, not evil enough or funny enough or interesting enough. Though her singing was phenomenal of course. Rhythm Nation was part of the opening number sung by the townspeople and mashed up with some other songs and then was reprised throughout.
