Why the “it doesn’t come as a surprise from Taylor”?I don’t find a problem to get credit on a song, whose writer literally said that she’s sampling..At the end of the day music industry is all about money

C'mon, she's been crystal clear about her monetary intentions. She even tried to trademark the "Shake it off" phrase as if she invented it. Even suing her own fans for similar stuff.

Can't say I'm surprised her debut has been heavily inspired or outright copied from other artists right down to the album aesthetics. She's very talented but she needs a team that can come up with original ideas.

Please spill some tea I had no clue

Yes doll. 90% of 7 rings royalties went to the the estate of.whoever owns the sound of music, because of the sample.

She even nods to it in her song MONOPOLY " you'd be straight for life if I have you my PIN, even though we gave up the 90% for the win"

it's not a sample tho, it's an interpolation, that's why there were given so much % of the royalties in 7 rings, and here with good 4 u

Sample is just a few notes of other song as another element of in the mix, not the whole chorus.

my point is that 7 rings interpolated my favorite things, it didn't sampled it, that's why there were given so much percentage of the loyalties,  check the terms, they are different.
a sample is just what gaga gaga did in government hooker with the few notes of lullaby by the cure in a segment of the chorus for example.

Leaving the industry plant situation aside, yes. I'm talking about the music, not about the obvious push she's had by her record label.

And even with other artists that are starting.

But what Im talking about includes the music hence why i made the connection... The music will largely reflect what promoters and label wants...

Brand new aritists that are offered by contracts and prospects of big promo dont generally get too much flexibility in what they wanna do including the music. At least not in the beggining
