Texas bans abortion

Werk

Featured Posts

A law that bans abortions after six weeks, including in cases of rape and incest, went into effect in Texas on Wednesday.

Why it matters: The law, one the most restrictive abortion bans in the U.S., prohibits the practice after a fetal heartbeat is detected — before many people know they are pregnant.

It also incentivizes individuals to sue anyone suspected of helping a woman obtain an abortion — and awards at least $10,000 to people who do so successfully

This is beyond sick. We are living in a nightmare.

I can only hope that this energizes blue voters in Texas and that the shifting demographics will help in 2022.

yeesh that fact that this is still debatable

The conservative Supreme Court justices have all bad said they will strike down legal abortion if a case makes it to the top

What's the point of having a SCOTUS decision if states can just do whatever they want for no reason? :smh:

All this is going to do is cause women to resort to overdoses, coat hangers, and flights of stairs.

They're not saving babies, they're harming women.

Whimsical bitch

All this does is encourages illegal and unsafe abortions to be carried out. It honestly is a mindf*ck to me how people can justify stopping other people doing something that could potentially save their life (from having a safe procedure) as well as prevent a child being into poverty and suffering severely or having a debilitating genetic illness.

People who say “well it offends my religion” - but that’s YOUR religion, people aren’t asking YOU to have an abortion, the same way it makes 0 sense to me people say LGBT people “offend” them. No one is asking you to be with someone of the same sex it literally doesn’t affect your life at all??? It boggles my mind???

Chromatica will live on forever.

I've been sick over this all morning. It's terrifying that the government wants to do this, and the aspect of having other citizens doing the policing honestly takes my breath away.

As a woman I can't even tell you how frightening it is, I don't have the words

Texas is the first stop to Gilead. I'm so afraid that this type of **** is going to continue and America will never push forward with anything.
