Eh not really for art, just more of like a statement. It makes sense though especially with how they blamed him for Columbine and such and how we’re so fascinated with true crime and serial killers even know. It’s mainly to show what the media likes to show the most and how they’re like the complete polar opposites ya. The whole “bad news is good TV” idea. Plus it’s shock value which brings people in to his name etc etc. all the usual shock rock stuff tbh. 
 

He also grew up in a super super religious family and was introduced to a lot of effed up stuff when he was young bc of that and his grandfather being an absolutely disgusting man (his autobiography is super exaggerated just for sh!ts n giggles but he confirmed the stuff bout his grandfather was true) so honestly, not surprised he had a fascination with really weird stuff
