We all are vulnerable when you think about it, some more then others, but I’ve seen how it comes for anyone, it’s no respecter of wealth or persons, it just replicates, mutates & it devastates. I’m living at home right now, half of us are vaccinated the others aren’t and refuse to wear masks in public. It’s been very difficult & challenging for me. I’ve seen break through cases that still are pretty bad, & you still can die even with the vaccine just your risk is much much lower then the unvaccinated. He’s literally using every inch of his power, mandating for all federal employees, mandating for the army, encouraging governors to mandate state employees. Vaccines and masks are available to literally anyone. It would be like blaming Biden for not getting 100% of the vote. If you want to talk about govt not using its powers to procure more hospital resources that’s ANOTHER discussion, but don’t act like democrats are identical to republicans on the the prevention side. The CDC saying vaccinated people don’t need to wear masks back in May created a situation where businesses made masks optional *for vaccinated people* but had no way of enforcing a policy that checks if someone actually is vaccinated. This caused many unvaccinated people to go maskless and spread the virus. It was known Delta was beginning to spread in the summer. By July it skyrocketed in part thanks to this CDC guidance which did not take into consideration the behavior of everyone. ”Honor system” in the US? A joke. And in Western Culture honor systems are useless... u cant trust ppl at all to be honest or responsible. 50 years ago maybe a little more, definitely not the way ppl are now in this me first world where half of ppl dont care about other people.
