I think the sad part is the immense cancel culture that followed her for years. I'm impressed by how she acknowledged it all in past interviews and has grown so much ever since.

I feel like this decision is from her growing out of it all. She's matured and is ready for the next thing. Seems like she did it out of a CHOICE that was best for her. Not sad to me, inspiring actually. She seems grounded and actually like a sweet person.

I feel bad for her. She's overcome an enormous amount of hate and mockery all while releasing some major bops with great visuals. I wish her all the best and hope she finds more success writing for other artists.

I’ve been saying for years she’s so creative and beautiful but the music just isn’t giving. She will probably find much more success in other things. If influencers can get rich just posting pictures Iggy can definitely sustain a career without music. Good for her

It’s sad but not surprising. She got really upset when she released started with the music video (she apparently paid a LOT for it) and the social media algorithms and media stations refused to play it (that song deserved so much more). Since then she still hasn’t had much success

if you need money just to make cool art and be comfortable

I think in Hip Hop sadly her career will never be as it was when Fancy was out. I love how she is self aware and knows that she cant keep rapping about the same old topics. She still may write the topics for other artists bit it will come out differently if its with another artist. I would love for her to someday write with me. She has some great rapping skills.
