When I saw Kanye on stage with them I thought about his god complex and how in his narcissistic mind he probably equates this trio to something biblical. I love shock performance art but in today's overly woke cancel culture I'm afraid a detailed explanation is needed for people to see past the knee jerk reaction of being repulsed. 

Kanye is really good with symbolism and even before his last Christian album he used biblical references. I could see this being something potentially cool if that's how he intended it. Jesus (Kanye) was crucified between two criminals (DaBaby and MM). He probably sees all of their treatment in the media as a form of crucifixion. Between being a blatant homophobe and the other being caught up in the me too movement because of his vile behavior and abuse towards past partners he definitely picked two polarizing individuals.

It's too bad that Jay Z pulled his verse though. I love their work together and the lyrics to his verse, if the ones on genius are right, are the best part of this song.
