He's natural and it shows. They wanted him to get on steroids for Man of Steel but he refused and has always been strict with his diet and exercise, like 200% dedicated to it.

Mhmm the way he’s built you can tell. Someone with roids looks more inflated, for lack of a better word. Cavill just so happened to win the genetic lottery giving him the capacity to build muscle in just this particular way that is endlessly, classically preferred. Also lighting helps create shadows which help make definition even more defined. He’s a celeb, theres camera trickery, too, as statuesque as he is.
